"This cultural video is dedicated to the memory of all the Yorta Yorta people who have gone before me over the many thousands of years. It is also for the present and future Aboriginal generations, who like me, have the challenging responsibility of keeping our cultures alive and well.

Stories that were once only told during ritual ceremony through body paint, dance, song and theatrical story telling are now being told to non-Aboriginals. I believe that this opening up and availability of information on Aboriginal culture to the world at large creates an opportunity for people to learn, understand, appreciate and respect my culture. Yarramunua Red is an enigmatic new CD from Stan Yarramunua - Yorta Yorta man and Didgeridoo artist extraordinaire. Spoken word and chants are combined with the powerful sound of the Didgeridoo to tell Yarramunua's story.Traditional Yorta Yorta beliefs and wisdom are woven into the music to create strong new rituals and a sense of timeless spirituality.

There is not a lot of techno-wizardry apparent on the recording, just good clean Didj and clap sticks which give the album a 'live' feel that really compliments Yarramunua's woody and easy to listen to narration.
